Second commission for portraying his Lunar Exalted character Surucucu. He asked me to include the following description:
Surucucu (Flametongue for "Sweeping Shadow") was exalted as a No Moon caste by Luna almost 500 years ago in a southwestern jungle. Her spirit form is that of a massive pit viper native to the region. She felt a great affinity for the Underworld which she was able to access through a local shadowland, and in time became a very skilled necromancer.
It was through her behind the scenes influence that the three gods of Greatforks had time to weave the great story that protected them from the Princess Magnificent with Lips of Coral and Robes of Black Feathers. For this she was cursed with an Essence Inversion, causing her to waste away when she spends long periods out of the Underworld, where cat's paws of her ancient enemies relentlessly hunt her. She has let long periods of time flow by in hibernation to slow her decline.
The bearer of her Solar mate's exaltation, Lavina Valeria, stumbled upon one of her hiding places etched with powerful necromantic sigils and pictograms depicting the No Moon's legend. Surucucu has once again been consumed by the supernatural bond that threatens to subjugate her heart to her returning mate. She has in turn directed her considerable charms to seducing the young Solar while offering to be her mentor in the dark arts. Sweeping Shadow has disturbing memories from another life where she was murdered by her golden lover over a disagreement regarding the Underworld and is determined not to let it happen again!
When the moon waxes full in the sky or she is spiritually weakened, depression and lethargy sap her will as she sees the inextricable dissolution of the world she loves being consumed by the facinating Underworld and the Abyss at its core. Here her moonsilver tattoos are visible, which keep her form under her own control, even when she travels through the reality warping lands of the Wyld. They are symbolic of the story she has selected for herself, so the Wyld won't pick a different story and mutate her to suit it. They also identify her as a member of the Silver Pact. She is a shapeshifter that can transform into the form of any animal, person, or ghost who she has ritualistically hunted and drank the heart's blood of.
Awesome! The pose, the details, the crisp colours... Beautiful! Also like the background story, everything that allows Lunars to become agents worthy of Celestial Exaltations rather than random monsters and whiny emo brooders is to be applauded.
Hello, I am working on a trading card game called Exaspianite (Egg zas pee on ight) And the point of the cards is that all of the creatures are made by some of the best animators me and my company and I can find. I truly believe that this would make an amazing card for this trading card game and I would love (with your permission of course) to use this as a graphic for the game.

I'm afraid that cannot be done. This is a commission, and belongs to (it portrays one of this characters). So I cannot give it to you. Besides if you are interested in using commercially any of my artworks (i.e. if you intend to sell your game), I won't give the permission for free. In other works, if you want to profit from the use of my art, I want my share of profit too The only exception is those works under Creative Commons, and even those, only at the conditions specified by the copyleft licence indicated. You can find some of my art in Creative Commons here: [link] and this is one picture which is under the same copyleft indication: [link] Thanks for your interest!
Very interesting pose, I like it a lot and it adds a great sense of movement. You have done a great job with the reflective blue light on her skin from the lunar tattoos, especially on her face and left arm.
