Commission for :iconsotm: portraying his Solar Exalted character Varyka in meditation.
The commissioner asked me to include the following description:

Varyka Ulzun is an Eclipse Caste Solar exalt who has begun to add sorcerous insight to her already broad knowledge of thaumaturgy. Her totemic anima banner is a codex carved from the golden bark of the world tree primordial that would splinter into Szoreny the Silver Forest. It codifies in old realm script above her of the goings on of her present situation. Sometimes there are insights to be gleaned from the deeds of her previous lives that come to the fore to be amended or annotated.

Heh, well, it's an Exalted character and I worked on the illustrations for several Exalted books so your impression was correct on many levels :)

Excellent work on the script. I also really like her outfit - it's nice and simple but with some very neat decorative touches. :)
